Product Application
Feed grade calcium formate is a kind of calcium salt containing formic acid.It can release formic acid in animals, which reducing the pH in the stomach and acting as an acidifier. In addition, its organic calcium content exceeds 30.0%, which enables it to be digested, absorbed and utilized without the involvement of stomach acid, thereby reducing the amount of inorganic calcium in feed. Additionally, feed grade calcium formate not only reduces the amount of acidifiers and inorganic calcium, but also provides the necessary calcium for animals. Adding only 1.3% calcium formate to feed can significantly improve feed conversion, reduce feed consumption, and increase the daily gain of animals. This feature makes calcium formate an efficient and safe feed additive.
