Application of Activated Alumina Dechlorination Agent
Activated Alumina for dechlorination is mainly used for efficient removal of hydrogen chloride (HCl) and other chlorine-containing impurities from chemical raw materials gas or liquid hydrocarbons. It achieves deep chlorine removal through a combination of physical adsorption and chemical reactions, ensuring the normal operation of subsequent process equipment and catalysts.
It can achieve high-precision chlorine removal: even if the chlorine content in the raw materials is as high as 200 ppm, the chlorine content in the purified gas after treatment can be reduced to below 0.1 ppm, and it can effectively work within a temperature range of -4°C to 450°C, suitable for both the low-temperature section (5-90°C) and the high-temperature section (250-400°C). It is mainly used in processes such as ammonia synthesis, methanol production, oil and gas processing, and naphtha reforming, and is particularly suitable for the precise removal of chlorine from media such as hydrogen, nitrogen, synthesis gas, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and liquid hydrocarbons, to protect downstream catalysts (such as steam reforming catalysts) from chlorine poisoning.
