More than 90% of trimeric anhydride is used to produce dioctyl trimeric acid (TOTM), a plasticizer for polyvinyl chloride (PVC), which is favored for its excellent thermal stability and low migration.

In addition to its applications in the plastics industry, TMA is also used in:

Manufacturing polyester and polyimide resins, which are widely used in electronics, aerospace, and other industries.

The production of water-soluble polymers, such as water-soluble polyester resin, water-soluble polyurethane resin, and water-soluble amino alkyd resin. These materials have important applications in textiles, coatings, adhesives, and other industries.

Advanced aviation lubricating oils and power capacitor impregnating oils, which enhance lubrication performance and electrical insulation properties.
