Product Introduction
Phthalic anhydride is an organic compound with the chemical formula C₈H₄O₃. It is a cyclic acid anhydride formed by dehydration of the phthalic acid molecule. It appears as a white crystalline powder. It is an important raw material in organic chemical industries and serves as a key intermediate in the production of phthalate plasticizers, coatings, saccharin, dyes, and other organic compounds.

Product Application

Phthalic anhydride is commonly used in the production of phthalate-based plasticizers, which account for about 60% of its total application. Dyes and paints account for approximately 25%, while unsaturated resins and other products make up about 15%.
Manufacture of Plasticizers: PA reacts with alcohols to form phthalic acid esters, such as dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and dioctyl phthalate (DOP) which is known for their light color, low toxicity, excellent electrical properties, and low volatility, are predominantly used as plasticizers in the plastics industry, especially for polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
Synthetic Resins: It is also used in the synthesis of unsaturated polyester resins and alkyd resins. These resins are widely applied in coatings, adhesives, fiberglass products, and printing inks, offering excellent mechanical properties and chemical resistance.
Dyes and Pigments: As a key intermediate in dye production,it is used to manufacture various dyes, including anthraquinone derivatives and phthalocyanine blue, which are crucial for textiles, printing, and related industries.
Product Packaging & Storage

1. Small Packaging (25 kg/bag):
20 MT /20 FCL without pallets
14-18 MT/20 FCL with pallets( depending on the goods from which factory).)
Whether with pallets or not, 20-27 MT/40 FCL( depending on the weight limit of the destination port)
2.Large Packaging (500 kg/bag):
With pallets or not,15 MT/20 FCL
It is recommended to use a 40 FCL for large packaging. This allows the container to hold 26 to 27 tons MAX
FAQ
Q: When exporting phthalic anhydride, is it classified as ordinary goods or dangerous goods?
A: Our phthalic anhydride has a maleic anhydride (MA) content of less than 0.05%, so it is classified as general cargo (non-dangerous goods) for transportation and does not require dangerous goods packaging. We have relevant certification documents (non-dangerous goods certification, etc.) available.
Q:What is the main Uses of PA OX-BASE and PA NP-BASE?
A: Phthalic anhydride OX-BASE is primarily used in the production of resins, plastics, dyes, and pigments. NP-BASE is mainly used in the synthesis of dyes, pigments, as well as certain special resins and catalysts.
