Tetrabromophthalic anhydride is an acid flame retardant with a high bromine content.

Reactive Flame Retardants: It can be used as a reactive flame retardant, reacting with polymers to form covalent bonds, thereby enhancing the flame retardancy of the polymers. It is commonly used with materials such as polyester resin, epoxy resin, unsaturated polyester, and polyurethane.

Additive Flame Retardants: It can work synergistically with other flame retardants, such as antimony trioxide, as an additive flame retardant in thermoplastics like polystyrene (PS), polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), and ABS resins to improve their flame retardancy.

In addition, FHT-4 derivatives can be used in the flame retardant treatment of wires, cables, and wool fabrics.

FAQ

Q: Is TBPA Toxic?

A: Exposure to TBPA may cause symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, respiratory irritation, dermatitis, and eye irritation.

it reacts exothermically with water. While the reaction is generally slow, it can become vigorous if localized heating accelerates it.

Q: Is tetrabromophthalic anhydride exported as general goods or dangerous goods?

A: When it is exported as general goods, we can provide a cargo transportation appraisal report.
