Ethyltriphenylphosphonium bromide (CAS 1530-32-1) is often used as an efficient curing accelerator for powder coatings, especially in epoxy resin systems. Its main function is to accelerate the curing reaction process of polymer materials through the large atomic radius and strong polarization effect of phosphorus atoms, which enhancing the performance of the coatings. Specifically, it not only effectively promotes curing but also reduces the yellowing of materials caused by high temperatures or light exposure, enhances the mechanical strength and impact resistance of the coating, and improves the leveling and flatness of the coating surface. In practical applications, Ethyl triphenyl phosphonium bromide is often used in combination with epoxy resin systems, especially in high-gloss or matte mixed resin formulations. It is usually used together with tertiary amine curing agents to achieve the best results. In a pure resin system, it is directly used as a curing accelerator alone.
