What are the main features of crystalline biphenyl epoxy resin (CAS 85954-11-6)?

Crystalline biphenyl epoxy resin ( CAS 85954-11-6 ) with chemical name 4,4'-Bis(2,3-epoxypropoxy)-3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbiphenyl is a kind of high-performance epoxy resins. It is based on the biphenol structure and through chemical modification, it forms a crystalline molecular structure. The viscosity of our E-4000 series at 150 ℃ is only 5-20 mPa.s, its purity can reach 99% and the melting point is 108 ℃ .

Compared with traditional epoxy resins, crystalline biphenyl epoxy resin has better stability and applicability. It has a higher glass transition temperature (Tg) after curing, which can withstand extreme temperature environments ranging from -50℃ to 200℃. At the same time, its chemical corrosion resistance has been significantly improved, making it suitable for high-end fields such as electronics, aerospace, and automotive manufacturing. In the field of electronics and electrical appliances, it is commonly used to produce high-performance printed circuit board (PCB) inks and copper clad laminates, providing reliable electrical insulation and mechanical support for electronic components. In the aerospace industry, this resin is utilized due to its lightweight, high-strength, and radiation resistance properties to manufacture structural components of aircraft and spacecraft. In the automotive manufacturing sector, crystalline biphenyl epoxy resin is widely used due to its outstanding heat resistance and chemical corrosion resistance, being applied in the manufacturing of critical parts such as engine components and body structure pieces.
